Natália Machado Crespo has a background in meteorology and has carried out research in the Ozone Laboratory of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). Her research focuses on the dynamical and climatological aspects of cyclones over South America and its surrounding regions. Since 2019, she has undertaken post-doctoral research for the Western South Atlantic Climate Experiment (WeSACEx), becoming involved in regional climate modelling, evaluating the current climate and projections of extreme winds and cyclones over eastern South America, under different climate change scenarios.
