
Ms Selorm Awiah Dzantor

Ms. Selorm Awiah Dzantor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Geography and Sociology) and an MPhil in Geography from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in 2014 and 2017 respectively. She has expertise in qualitative research and analysis. Her principal research area touched on vulnerability and livelihood studies. As such, her MPhil thesis focused on the ‘Assessment of Vulnerability and Coping Livelihood Strategies of Fishermen in Selected Fishing Communities in the Central Region of Ghana’. Also, she has interests in Environmental Conservation, Coastal Geomorphology, Climate Change, Land-use Patterns, as well as Sustainable Development. She held the position of Local NUGS Women’s Commissioner from the University of Cape Coast’s National Union of Ghana Students Chapter. Currently, she is a Research Assistant at the Africa Center of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, UCC. Selorm enjoys outdoor activities such as jogging, playing basketball, mountain climbing and yoga.
