Exploring the ethical implications of SRM for health justice in the Global South
Project summary
This project aims to investigate the ethical implications of solar radiation modification (SRM), particularly Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI), with a focus on its consequences for health justice in the Global South. Led by a team of experts in bioethics and climate engineering from Latin America, the team will look to develop a robust ethical framework for climate innovation, and will engage with a diverse set of stakeholders. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, this project seeks to address outstanding uncertainties surrounding climate intervention. The objective is to inform public policy, while building a robust research community centered on ethical perspectives in climate innovation based in the Global South.
