Ana Belen Sanchez Scaglioni

PhD Researcher
University of Buenos Aires

Ana Belén Sánchez Schutze is a PhD candidate in Atmospheric Sciences at the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, School of Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She holds a doctoral scholarship from the National Research Council of Argentina (CONICET). She is part of the Degrees Modelling Project team at UBA, led by Inés Camilloni. Her research assesses the potential impacts of Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and climate change—under different projections and emission scenarios—on mean and extreme precipitation in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. She also investigates precipitation differences between rural and urban environments to better understand how land-use and urbanization influence local rainfall patterns.
