Julia S. Guivant

Prof. Guivant holds a degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina), a M.S and a PhD in Sociology from the State University of Campinas (Brazil). She is senior professor at the Graduate Program in Political Sociology and in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Human Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Currently Guivant is vice president of the board of the Brazilian Society of Social Studies of Science (ESOCITEbr); lead Faculty of the Earth System Governance Project; member of INCT Climate Change Phase 2; and editor of the Journal Ambiente e Sociedade. Her recent research focus is on climate change, interdisciplinarity and scientific communication.
