Assessing knowledge, governance and social implications of SRM across Africa

Host institution Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (CSIR), Accra
Grant year 2024

Project summary

The current research on SRM impacts is still experimental and fragmented, rather than being a comprehensive strategy. This project seeks to explore the governance, policy structures and social implications of SRM through the assessment of knowledge levels among stakeholders, analyses of governance frameworks and exploring ethical and policy implications. The project aims to develop social practice recommendations for the potential adoption and implementation of SRM across Africa. The outputs of this project will expand the conversation around SRM with local stakeholders across Africa, which is an important step if the region is to be at the centre of the conversation on SRM.
