Exploring Asian perspectives on the governance of SRM

Host institution The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi
Grant year 2024

Project summary

This project aims to take steps towards building an ecosystem for research on SRM in South Asia by initiating dialogue among researchers and policy stakeholders on the subject. The team will explore knowledge and perceptions of SRM among policy influencing stakeholders, while examining key drivers of these perceptions. We will then look to analyse how these perceptions are likely to influence the position that the South Asian climate community may take on the governance of SRM: be it the scientific research of SRM or its potential deployment. The target stakeholders are the policy influencing community including policymakers, climate scientists, IPCC authors and established think tank researchers from across South Asian countries.
