Angelo Matira

Angelo Forto Matira, born on August 6, 2001 in Dalig, Balayan, Batangas, is a registered professional forester and currently serves as Research Associate for the ECLIPSE Project under Dr. Lorena L. Sabino. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Forestry, specializing in Social Forestry and Agroforestry, from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, graduating cum laude. His work on Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) began in June 2025 when he joined the project, where he helped organize and facilitate focus group discussions, surveys, and key informant interviews in climate-vulnerable communities and relevant stakeholders. These engagements deepened his understanding of local perspectives on SRM and strengthened his interest in advancing research on emerging climate interventions.
