Daniel is a Colombian biologist interested in the study of species diversity patterns at macroecological and macroevolutionary levels across different scales. His is interested in understanding in species terms why we see what we see and why we see it where we see it. Daniel trained as a biologist at the University of Antioquia (Colombia), then moved to Mexico, where he obtained an MSc in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Ecology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is currently a PhD student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, United States.
