Francis Nkrumah
Francis Nkrumah is a Senior Lecturer and Research Scientist in the Department of Physics at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where he completed his BSc, MPhil, and PhD. His research spans physics, hydrology, meteorology, and climatology, with a strong focus on atmospheric dynamics and extreme weather events in West Africa. He applies statistical and modeling tools to advance understanding of mesoscale convective systems, land-use–climate interactions, and geoengineering impacts. Dr Nkrumah has collaborated widely with national and international researchers and has authored several peer-reviewed publications. He also contributed to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (Working Group I) as a Contributing Author and is now a Review Editor to the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report (Working Group I)
