Lorena Sabino
Dr. Lorena L. Sabino, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Forestry and Forest Governance, College of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science with specializations in Social Forestry and Community Development. Her research focuses on the social dimensions of environmental issues, including climate change adaptation, disaster resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Dr. Sabino’s expertise extends to watershed management, agroforestry, and mangrove rehabilitation. Recently, her research has shifted towards examining the social implications of solar geoengineering as a climate change intervention. Dr. Sabino’s dedication to climate-proofing, sustainable resource management, and community empowerment makes her an asset in advancing environmental conservation efforts locally and globally.
