Lydie Gaelle Mekonou Kengne

PhD Researcher
Université Nationale des Sciences, Technologies, Ingénierie et Mathématiques (UNSTIM)

Lydie Gaelle Mekonou Kengne is a third-year Ph.D. student in Physical Oceanography, under the supervision of Prof. Casimir Y. Da-Allada. Her research examines how climate change and Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering (SAG) may affect sea surface temperature and chlorophyll concentration in the Congo-Angola upwelling system—a region of high marine productivity and socio-economic importance. With a multidisciplinary background in physics, climate science, and physical oceanography, she possesses strong skills in numerical modeling, climate variability, and ocean-atmosphere interaction, which she applies to complex questions regarding geoengineering.
