María Inés Carabajal

Dr. María Inés Carabajal is a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) and Assistant Professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Her work examines the human dimensions of climate change and the Anthropocene, with emphasis on how climate information is produced, circulated, and used in decision-making. She has contributed to national and international initiatives on climate services, transdisciplinary research, knowledge co-production, and science communication. She currently serves as a Lead Author for Working Group II (Chapter 4) of the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report. Her recent work investigates the socio-political and ethical implications of solar geoengineering in Latin America and the Caribbean. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from UBA.
