Mohd Amirul Mahamud
Gs. Dr. Mohd Amirul Bin Mahamud is a Senior Lecturer in the Geography Section, School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He holds a PhD in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from USM and has served in academia since September 2021. His expertise centres on GIS applications, particularly urban and land-use modelling, with research aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially sustainable cities and environmental conservation. Beyond teaching and research, he is active in professional and academic service. As a Professional Member of the Institute of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM) and a member of Water Watch Penang (WWP), he contributes to geospatial and environmental initiatives. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Asian Geography and Intelligent Control and System Engineering.
