Pedro Roberto Jacobi

Prof. Jacobi holds a PhD in Sociology at the University of São Paulo. He is Senior Full Professor at the Graduate Program of Environmental Science at the Institute of Energy and Environment / University of São Paulo (Brazil) and Coordinator of the research group on environmental governance at the institute of energy and environment. He is a research fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo and editor of the journal Ambiente & Sociedade/Anppas/Brazil since 1997. He is also president of the Board of Local Governments for Sustainability -ICLEI- South America since 2011. His research focuses on urban sustainability, socio-environmental governance, metropolitan governance and climate change.
