Sara Grobbelaar

Sara Grobbelaar (PhD) received an M.Phil. degree in technology policy from the University of Cambridge in 2011, the B.Eng. (electronic) (UP) (2000), the M.Eng. degree in computer (UP) in 2001 and the Ph.D. degree in engineering (UP)(2007), and Post Graduate Diploma in M&E methods (SU)(2013). She is a Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Stellenbosch University, Stellenbosch, South Africa. She is also a registered Professional Engineer at the Engineering Council of South Africa. Prof Grobbelaar is a dynamic scientist with a highly productive research output trajectory. Over the 2015-2023 period, she and her co-authors published 65 journal articles and 75 conference articles in proceedings of international and regional conferences. She publishes in innovation for inclusive development with application areas in healthcare, education, agriculture, energy and manufacturing. Recent publications explore the development of innovation platforms and the evaluation of health projects.
