Sorja Koesuma
Sorja Koesuma is a lecturer in the Department of Physics at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and a researcher at the UNS Disaster Research Centre. He serves as Chair of the University Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction, coordinating nationwide academic collaboration on resilience. His research focuses on disaster management, flood and landslide early warning systems, near-surface geophysics, and climate change studies—particularly Solar Radiation Management (SRM). Sorja integrates scientific modeling, community-based approaches, and technological innovation to strengthen multi-hazard preparedness in vulnerable regions of Indonesia. He is also involved in developing dynamic risk assessment frameworks and advancing climate–disaster risk interactions through interdisciplinary research and partnerships with government and academic networks.
