Zeqian Feng

PhD Researcher
Universiti Sains Malaysia

Zeqian Feng is a PhD candidate specializing in climatology and geography. His research focuses on the regional impacts of Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) on climate extremes in Southeast Asia. Specifically, he investigates how geoengineering strategies—such as G6sulfur and G6solar—influence drought dynamics, heatwaves, and population exposure, with a particular emphasis on the disparities between urban and rural vulnerabilities. Utilizing multi-model climate ensembles and advanced Python-based data analysis, Zeqian aims to assess the potential efficacy and risks of SRM in mitigating future climate hazards for vulnerable populations.
