Mowmita Basak Mow
Mowmita brings over 12 years of experience across international development and public policy, spanning government, international non-profit organisations, and the private sector. Her expertise includes policy analysis, advocacy, strategic communications, programme management, and knowledge management. Prior to Degrees, Mowmita has worked in global public health, with a particular focus on neglected tropical diseases such as leprosy and lymphatic filariasis. She has held full-time and consultant roles with organisations including the University of Cambridge, Lepra, and Hope Rises International.
Mowmita holds two master’s degrees in public policy from the University of Oxford as a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust Scholar, and a master’s in international development management from the University of Bradford as a Global Development Scholar. In recognition of her leadership in non-profit management and international development, Mowmita was selected as the first Bangladeshi Asia Foundation Development Fellow and named a Global Laureate Fellow by the International Youth Foundation.
