The Degrees Initiative is pleased to announce that in early 2025 it will convene the Degrees Global Forum, the first in a new series of major conferences for the SRM community.
The event will follow in the footsteps of the Climate Engineering Conference 2017, which was held jointly with our Global Forum (then under the ‘SRMGI’ banner). It will bring together hundreds of researchers, NGO representatives, policymakers, funders, and journalists to discuss the scientific and socio-political dimensions of SRM across several days and a range of formats.
The Degrees Global Forum will emphasise the importance of international connections and will showcase the breadth of SRM research being done in the Global South – both by the terrific 23 projects being supported by the Degrees Modelling Fund and also the seven Southern social science research teams that we will announce soon.
