Exploring Cultural, Legal, and Intergenerational Perspectives on SRM Ethics (ECLIPSE)

Host institution University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)
Grant year 2024

Project summary

Exploring Cultural, Legal, and Intergenerational Perspectives on SRM Ethics (ECLIPSE) will draw from a case study in vulnerable ridge-to-reef communities facing the impacts of climate change. Additionally, the project will explore collaborative frameworks and capacity-building initiatives between Ghana and the Philippines, focusing on sharing experiences, knowledge, instruments, and strategies for any potential future SRM deployment, management, and governance. This research is crucial for the most vulnerable nations, providing essential information for developing sound policies and implementation plans should SRM ever be seriously considered.
